Gaua is known as the adventure island in Torba Province and for good reason. Hiking to Lake Letas and Mt. Garet are the main draw cards for tourists visiting Gaua who are looking for a rewarding challenge. Hiking, canoeing, and active volcanoes – this trek has it all!

Your guide Victor will lead you on the hike at a pace that suits you, with the option to walk over one, two or three days. The trek will take you through some of the most beautiful and remote parts of the country; we highly recommend you bring your camera with spare batteries, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, insect repellent, water bottle, wet weather gear and a small first aid kit.
This is a challenging trek - even walking at a more leisurely pace, and it is recommended that it is only undertaken by those who have a high level of fitness and stamina or have experience hiking in similar (tropical) conditions. The hike is subject to natural conditions and your safety is our priority. You will be in the safe hands of our accredited tour guides however this adventure is not suitable for children under 10 years of age.
