We've asked some of the key journalists who've travelled the world and visited Vanuatu to share with us their favourite experiences. Harriet from Grumpy Turtle shares with us her three most memorable #vanuatumoments throughout Vanuatu.

Start the day diving and end it on top of a volcano

There aren't many places in the world where you can start your day scuba diving and end it standing on the edge of an active volcano.

Tanna Island is home to the world's most easily accessible volcano, Mt Yasur. The best time to visit the volcano is at sunset when the colours of the lava dance against the backdrop of the darkening sky. Because it's just a ten minute walk to the volcano's base, there's time to squeeze in a dive before you visit.

Exploring the incredible underwater mazes that surround Tanna

Diving around Tanna is like getting lost in a giant coral-encrusted maze. Tanna's underwater landscape is a combo of beautiful coral reefs and swim-throughs.

The twists and turns of these underwater caverns are seriously exhilirating, and the diversity of coral leaves you wishing you had a little more air in your tank to keep exploring.

Climb ancient trees and swim in private waterfalls

On the island of Tanna, you can spend a day exploring ancient trees and remote waterfalls.

The hundred-year-old Giant Banyan Tree is so enormous you can easily get lost amongst its branches. The tree is over 80 metres high and stretches for more than 100 metres across.
