Big Blue is a PADI 5-Star Resort situated on the Seafront next door to Numbawan Café and Vanuatu Helicopters.
Big Blue operates two small fast dive boats (6pax and 10pax) that can quickly transport our divers out to their favourite dive site. Our most distant location “Cathedral” no more than 15 minutes away. Dive tours are usually limited to 6 divers per Divemaster, unless requested by groups. All our hire equipment is good quality ‘aqualung’ and serviced regularly, din fittings available on tanks, wash and storage facilities and hot shower also available. On our double dive enjoy Tea, Coffee and biscuits, during the surface interval, with local fresh fruit on single dives and snorkel tours. Lunch and Refreshments are also available at Numbawan Café. We pick up and drop off from all hotels in Port Vila.
Owners Mike & Maggie Crawford have lived and dived in Vanuatu for over 14 years. Our friendly staff includes, Bec Kingsbury, Jerry Songolapa, and Roger Nagareg – all Instructors who have been diving since the 80’s. Backing up as Dive Masters, are Luaky Nabanga, Mark Anatu and boat driver Roy Nabanga. A very experienced team! All our staff are happy to help you in any way they can.

Double divers depart each morning at 8:15am and single divers at 1:15pm.

We also offer a great option for beginners, daily Discover Scuba pool lessons are conducted, free of charge, at selected Resorts, followed by a PADI Discover Scuba Dive at Pango Cove.
PADI Open Water courses are running constantly, 1 instructor to 2 students. We organize our course to fit into your schedule. PADI offer e-learning where you can complete all your theory on line, before you go on holiday, and then enjoy the dives in warm tropical waters.
Other courses offered are Advanced Open Water, Rescue, First Aid, Diver Master & Assistant Instructor. We can also arrange for Instructor training.
Specialty courses are also available including, Deep, Navigation, Naturalist, Night, Wreck and more.
Snorkelling:
A guided Snorkel Adventure Tour takes you on a 15 min boat trip to Pango Cove. Protected from the South Easterly Tradewinds this area features clear waters and colourful coral and fish. A Dive Master will lead you along the reef pointing out interesting marine life, while also being there for your safety. All snorkels are sterilized daily and snorkel vests are available.
