The decision to offer a grocery shopping service for guests at Poppys on the Lagoon made sense to Peter and Joanne when all the suites and villas at Poppys are fully self contained. There is a café on site for guests, but as New Zealand families still love the option, and affordability, of some self catering, the new Poppy’s Providore service means all the selected fresh fruit and groceries are delivered to guests as soon as they arrive. The fully IATA accredited travel agency, Friendly Travel Adventures, is located on the premises of Poppys on the Lagoon or via the web and was created especially to assist with outer island travel and package tours to Tanna. Friendly Travel Adventures has been operating only a short time and specializes in exploring the outer islands of magical Vanuatu.
“We decided to go the extra mile and create Friendly Travel Adventures totally in response to the needs of our guests and in response to the amount of requests we receive for travel to the outer islands,” said Joanne. “Initially, our packages focused on staying at Poppys on the Lagoon and one or two nights at Friendly Bungalows and a life changing visit to Mt Yasur volcano on the island of Tanna.
