VTO samples Vanuatu Kite Surf’s all new stand up paddle board

VTO team paddle along Fatumaru. On Wednesday 3rd February, the VTO marketing team drove out to Pango Surf Shop, then later down to the La Bodega with Vanuatu Kite Surfing’s Thomas David, to sample their all new Stand Up Paddle Board activity. As well as being a great fitness work out on the water, it was also an easy and fun way of moving around in the harbor and exploring different sites along and around the bays of Port Vila. One of the first missions after being taught how to master the basics of standing up on the boards and paddle, was for the team to paddle out to a rock point located roughly around 700m-800m from La Bodega. Along the way the team was taught how to turn sideways on their boards whilst keeping balance. This caused some slips, slides and splashes making the learning experience more fun. So after two and a half hours of learning how to paddle board standing up, the team thanked Thomas and his boys for their time, and ended the afternoon with a fresh fruit juice, courtesy of La Bodega and Kite Surf, before returning back to the office.

There are two sites for stand up paddle board which are at the La Bodega for Port Vila bay Safari, and at the Starfish Cove for Lagoon Paddle. Guests can choose from an hour to 2 hours or a half day Paddle Safaris, including an optional 30mins Paddle Fitness program, Full Tide, and more.
