 Vanuatu Tourism Awards Committee press release: Now in its 5th year, Vanuatu is set to recognize the 2009 “Tourism Stars”. We are pleased to advise that entries are now being accepted in the 2009 Vanuatu Tourism Awards. This year’s award categories give tourism operators and associated entities an opportunity to be recognised for their contribution to Vanuatu tourism.
The 2009 Award Categories are:

• Best Boutique Accommodation
• Best Self Contained Accommodation
• Best Standard / Low Cost Accommodation
• Best Outer Island Accommodation
• Best Employee – Front of House
• Best Employee – Back of House
• Best Tour Guide
• Best Cultural Tour
• Best Scenic Tour
• Best Adventure/Eco tour
• Green Award
• Best Restaurant / Catering Services
• Best New Tourism Business
• Best Specialist Tourism Business
• Outstanding Contribution (by and individual) to Vanuatu Tourism
Chairman, Pam Reynolds says “the Vanuatu Tourism Awards are a great opportunity for owners & operators to showcase their properties, products and services culminating in a spectacular gala presentation evening”. This year’s gala event will be themed the “Night of Stars” to be held on Saturday 5th December, 2009 at the newly renovated Anchor Inn where we will celebrate the best the brightest and recognise all up and coming leaders in our thriving tourism industry. To receive a prestigious Vanuatu Tourism Award is now considered the ultimate accolade of a tourism operators business.

Entries and fees can be lodged at the Vanuatu Tourism Office, 1st Floor, Pilioko House, posted to PO Box 209 or with the any member of the organizing committee.
On behalf of the 2009 organizing committee we encourage all tourism businesses to participate by entering in one or several award categories this year and to ensure you are in attendance at our 2009 Vanuatu Tourism Awards “Night of Stars” gala presentation event.
