Tourism celebrates a new member to their industry Pasi Lodge
NTDO report: 28th July 2009 marks a mile stone for another Ni‐Vanuatu to join in the tourism industry of Vanuatu. Pasi Lodge located at the No. 2 area of Port Vila, capital town, highlights the Government’s policy for greater Ni‐Vanuatu participation in the tourism sector and for this Mr & Mrs. Abbock have become proud Owners of a six unit lodge. Pasi Lodge provides an up market accommodation for anyone wanting an affordable price of accommodation whilst visiting Port Vila. Long term and short term stay accommodation can also be arranged. The Lodge currently offers kitchen facilities, lounge settings, bathroom and laundry services and clean rooms at VT 2500 for a single and VT 3500 for a double room.
Mr. Marokon Alilee, Director General for the Ministry of Tourism outlined in his official speech that ‘Private sector leading the economy growth’ only reinforces the theme of the CRP and for more Ni‐Vanuatu’s to join in the tourism sector symbolizes that local investment is also what Vanuatu needs to build its economy on. The March 2009 edition of the International Monetary Fund Report depicts that Vanuatu’s economy will continue to grow this year at 4.3% and tourism is evidently the sector that is boosting this growth. The Official Ribbon cutting of the Pasi Lodge was officially launched by the Honourable Harry Iauko, Minister of Lands & Natural Resources as he is a prominent community member and neighbour of the Pasi Lodge.
Honourable Iauko in his launching remarks praised words of Congratulations to Mr & Mrs. Abbock for being a role model for other Ni-Vanuatu’s to follow in taking up such initiatives.
