Tok Tok Vanuatu 2009 ends today

The 8th Annual “Tok Tok” was held in Port Vila, at the Sebel’s Tok Tok Village site this week on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th August 2009.  Jointly organized by the Vanuatu Tourism Office, in partnership with the local tourism industry, Tok Tok is Vanuatu’s premier event on the tourism calendar, and an important catalyst for growth of international tourism, to Vanuatu. TokTok is the premium opportunity for tourism wholesalers and agents from around the world to meet with Vanuatu tourism providers. The two day event was officially opened by the Hon. Prime Minister, Hon. Edward Nipake Natapei Tutufanua’ariki who acknowledged the importance of the tourism industry to Vanuatu’s economy. A “Tok Tok Village” was purposely built for this years event, overlooking Vila Bay and adjacent to the host venue, The Sebel Vanuatu, which provided a unique setting for delegates, and media representatives attending the event from Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia.
