Team Vanuatu Adventure Trivia Night @ Moorings, Sunday the 4th of October

By Troy Spann, Edge Vanuatu: History: You may have seen the boys and I in our bright yellow shirts, running, swimming or cycling, the reason is that we have been getting physically ready to challenge a 100+ km Adventure Race in Australia called Hells Bells. The purpose of our entry into the race was two-fold: A.  A fact finding mission on what will be expected of us in the Vanuatu Adventure Race that we are going to hold next year, B. To promote (by being there) Vanuatu and to launch the Vanuatu Adventure Race. You may also be aware that it has become so much more when Australia’s leading Outdoor Magazine ‘Outer Edge’ got behind our efforts and wrote and amazing on our efforts and we ended up on the Front cover.  Outer Edge also produced a flattering Utube video which you can find on Utube if you search Heavens Hellboys. This totally changed our attitude towards the race, instead of entering it as participants going for a ‘look-see’, we now intend to do our very best to Win. We have been training since June, 7 days a week. The best example of the craziness of our efforts is that between us we have been up and down Klems Hill 183 times so far. We need to buy specialty equipment for the race to be contenders the most costly being Mountain Bikes that will see us through. What you can do? We are going to hold a fun Trivia Comp at Moorings and we would like you to attend and help us out.

Format: There will be 10 rounds of 10 questions of various categories. Choose to enter them all, or just your specialty topics. Play as a team, a couple or individually.  You simply pay 500Vt for your answer sheet before each round. Each round has a fantastic prize offered from Moorings being a Beer Card worth 3500Vt which will get you 10 Beers when you wish. Teams that get 9 or better for each round answer sheets go into a random draw at the end of the night worth 10 000Vt cash.

Dinner: Moorings has its famous Sunday Roast on from six, for this Bookings are advised.  Ring 26800. Trivia: Will start at 7.00pm.  No bookings required.  No need to form teams before hand.  Just come and enjoy the night and please help support Team Vanuatu Adventure.
