Nirvana Restaurant enhanced with Chef Yu Wenjing

New chef of Nirvana Restaurant, Port Vila.Nirvana Restaurant has already had the Seal of Approval from Locals & Tourists for its exciting modern Asian dishes and is now set to enhance this reputation with the appointment of Chef Yu Wenjing! With the Nirvana Restaurant now providing six (6) months of Port Vilas most exciting South East Asian dishes, the Restaurant is pleased to announce the appointment of Chef Yu Wenjing who arrived in August 2009. Chris Adams, Manager of Nirvana this week commented “We are looking to further enhance the skills of our culinary team at Nirvana with Chef Yu’s vast experience in Asian style cuisine”. The Nirvana product everyone is talking about is the result of intensive training by Chris with his Ni-Vanuatu team. Located in the former Bamboo Royal, the Nirvana Restaurant has earned a reputation for fresh, well presented South East Asian cuisine, with an entirely Ni Vanuatu kitchen brigade! “I am very pleased with the progress of my team here; they have certainly embraced the style and are ready to take their skills to another level.” Says Chris Adams; Chef Yu trained in China at the Zhen Jian Tourism School where he studied Hotel Management and with a keen interest in culinary arts he quickly moved on to attend the Zhen Jiang Culinary School where he achieved his Diploma in Commercial Cookery. Chef Yu has himself a well earned reputation for exciting and innovative cuisine.  He is an experienced Master Asian Chef, whose skills have taken him from 4 Star hotels in China to 5 Star International Hotel chains through out the Middle East and South East Asia. Chris Adams says; “It is extremely important, that we continue to train & challenge our Ni-Vanuatu staff. 

Chef Yu will bring with him to Port Vila the many & varied styles he has experienced in his more than 15 years of traveling the world as Executive Chef. 

“As we pass on these skills to our team at Nirvana Restaurant, they too will be able to travel the world with their newly acquired skills” Chef Yu has introduced a (3) Course Lunch Special, changing daily and at only 1’500 Vatu per person it is sure to please every appetite!  Nirvana Restaurant is open for Breakfast 7 days and Lunch & Dinner 6 days & nights per week.
