In a latest edition for today’s Travel Memo NZ, there is a good write up on the Pentecost Jump dates for 2010. The article, in page 5 of
www.travelmemo.co.nz emphasises the advantage of having lengthened jump days to also Wednesdays and Fridays as opposed to only Saturdays which has been the norm in past years. The general manager of the VTO Annie Niatu, welcomes the move by the Southern Pentecost Tourism Association, saying this will boost tourism to Pentecost, allowing a few more fortunate visitors to witness the ritual to take home an authentic and daring holiday experience seen by locals jumping off 20-30 metres high stilt towers.
