News source Cata-lagoon.com: Marine Corail has been a partner of the Cercle Nautique Calédonien in organizing offshore yacht races between Noumea and Vanuatu for 10 years. This year, the Noumea based Lagoon dealer has associated a new event to this race: the Beneteau-Lagoon Cup, and the idea is to enjoy great moments with family and / or friends, the thrill of racing , or simply for the convenience and comfort of flotilla sailing. With this first edition, Gérard Besson (MD of Marine Corail) is clearly in line with the "Lagoon Attitude"! Cruising from Noumea to Port-Vila encompasses a distance of 330 miles.
22 Yachts departed Baie des Citrons, Noumea, New-Caledonia, on Saturday 5th of September 2009, at 10am, and arrived in Port Vila this week on Monday 7th of September 2009. Prize presentations will be hosted by the Vanuatu Cruising Yacht Club, Port-Vila later in the week.
