Tanna’s new innovative Volcanic Surf Tours

The Volcanic Surf Tour is one of our newest tourism activity introduced earlier this year in Tanna to offer a real volcanic experience tour. This tour begins with volcanic trekking at the volcanic ash plain to the foot of the famous mount yasur where, your volcanic surf tour begins. For those who have heard of sand boarding on the sand dune of Peru or Frazer Island off the coast of Brisbane, or sand boarding in the deserts of Arab, this newly introduced sand boarding on the volcanic ash plain of Vanuatu adds another milestone to the sand boarding world. The sandboards ranges from 120cm to 150cm long and are available for both kids and adults, and can either sit or stand on for ride. Normally you choose your own confident height, then stand on the board with body leaning forward, which applies more weight on your front foot creating more friction in the front of the boards that stops it from moving, then slowly lean backwards to reduce the friction on front foot to get the boards into motion, the more you lean backward the more it gain it's speed, and if it's gaining more speed for you, lean forward to reduce to comfortable speed, so actually, you use your body to control your speed and once you got your speed right, just feel the thrill excitement in the ride which keeps you smiling all the way down.

Once tried 2-3 times, your feelings will start capturing that sensational emotions which will make you get addicted for more rides, so watchout don't get stack there. Normally, the tour begins at 2pm till sunsets, from here, we take a trip up the volcanoe for the last night tour of mount yasur.
