Tanna Island Dream Bungalows joins Tafea Tourism

Tafea Tourism Council has just welcomed a new member into the association, Tanna Island Dream Bungalows.  Located in a small village close to Port Resolution Bay, these family owned bungalows have panoramic views of Mt Mellon, Yasur Volcano, Aniwa Island and the well-known yacht harbour of Port Resolution. The bungalows are constructed from local materials and have queen-size or single beds with innerspring mattresses, mosquito nets and solar lighting. Bungalow balconies, with comfortable seating, overlook the valley where Captain Cook once anchored and have fabulous views of Yasur Volcano. There is a modern shared bathroom facility with septic toilet and a hot water shower. Accommodation is 4000vt per double, 2000vt per single and 1000vt per child. Breakfast is included in the tariff. The restaurant serves delicious local and European dishes.

The menu includes fresh lobster, fish, chicken, beef or pork accompanied by a wide variety of seasonal vegetables and generous servings of tropical fruits. Freshly brewed Tanna Coffee is a specialty. Lunches and dinners are 750vt each. Nearby attractions include Yasur Volcano, the Tanna magical firewalk, snorkelling and swimming over the coral reef at Turtle Bay and Nerasi Beach, thermal hot springs for bathing and cooking, warm colorful hot clay for healthy body rubs, Jon Frum village, kastom dancing, canoe tours and fishing, guided walks on bush trails, classes with kastom hunting tools and weaving plus kastom garden tours.
