The ultimate gateway on Tanna is perched 100 meters on top of a bluff in the lush tropical setting of Manuapen Village with magnificent ocean views of the bay, the historic Captain James Cook Rock, endless black sand beaches and spectacular sunrises. Settle into your clean bungalow of local materials and let the gentle, refreshing tropical breezes and the background pulse of the sea relax you. Take in the fresh, pure and crisp forest oxygen. The location of Sunrise Bungalows is a true nature lover's paradise. Once you are at the bungalows, follow a path to the beach where you will find the water temperature usually quite warm, some say it's due to the underground volcanic hot springs. After the beach trip, check out the local villages or the tree house located about 15 minutes walk away. The panoramic view from this location and sheer drop offs is stunning; however a danger to young ones does exist so we ask that parental supervision be essential to avoid any mishaps.

Remember, the bungalows are rather basic but you will leave this place with magical memories. The bungalows and Restaurant are locally owned and managed. Our Wonderful and friendly staff are ready at all times to make your stay comfortable. There are several different styles of bungalows to choose from, each catering to singles, couples or families with shared "western style" facilities. There are 3 toilets and 3 showers with cold water only, shared amongst 5 bungalows.

A few bungalows have private indoor facilities. Our on Site Restaurant serves local organically grown produce and fresh seafood with catch of the day fish and lobsters (when season). Specially prepared dishes of chicken and steak served with vegetables and rice will please your taste buds. There is a generator on the property which provides lighting at night and we have fresh spring water on tap.
