HTLTC sends students to Auckland University of Technology

The Hospitality Tourism Leisure Training Centre has been able to send eight students and two trainers on an educational tour of the Auckland University Technology in New Zealand. Their eight day tour will see them sitting in various classes that are related to their studies here in Port Vila. It will cover cross cultural communications and understanding, Travel Food and Beverage, Hotel Housekeeping and Cookery. At the International Air Port, the Manager and staff had an opportunity to meet the parents, and they all expressed their satisfaction at the thought of their Children getting this exposure.
Meanwhile the centers Chef Trainer Mr. Nati Kaibert, has returned after extensive training at the Auckland University of Technology, he was attached to the AUT, as well as working in one of Auckland’s busiest kitchens The Sky City.He had first hand experience in preparing Menus from five star dining to self service café style Menus. Customers coming to Nabanga Restaurant which is HTLTC’s training restaurant can look forward to tasting a fusion of French and New Zealand cuisine in the near future. This was possible with the funding from the European Union.
