Vanuatu Tourism Awards

The Vanuatu Tourism Awards committee has been selected for 2010 this year the executive positions have been filled by:

·         Chairman: Zeak Smith (Edge Vanuatu Limited)

·         Secretary: Melissa Baker (Events Vanuatu)

·         Treasure: Pascal Gavotto (Fatumaru Lodge)


This year’s awards categories will be as follows:

 

·         Best Adventure/Eco Tour

·         Best Scenic Tour

·         Best Cultural Tour

·         Best Tour Guide

·         Best Resort

·         Best Hotel

·         Best Boutique Accommodation

·         Best Budget Accommodation

·         Best Adventure/Bungalow Accommodation

 

·         Best Self-contained Accommodation

·         Best Specialized Tourism Service

·         Best New Tourism Business

·         Best Restaurant

·         Best Employee Front of House

·         Best Employee Back of House

·         Outstanding Contribution by an individual

 

This year minimum numbers apply for all categories if a category does not have enough entrants that category will be close all entrants will be offered a chance to move to another category or a refund of their entry fee.

Entries will open on the 1st October 2010 and will close 28th October 2010 late submissions will not be accepted.

Entrants need to also be aware of the strict new submission guide lines, this has been does to level the playing filed. Submissions will not be judged on how good they look but more on the content.

The awards night will be held on the night of 4th December 2010, a location and time has yet to be confirmed. The years theme will be based on the new branding “Discover what matters, Vanuatu”
