Ambae Island is 39 km long. The highest point of the island is Mt Lombenben, at 1496 meter, a semi-active volcano. There are also a few volcanic lakes in the center of the island. The island is covered by thick forest and there are several villages spread over the islands, some offer facilities for tourists.
Tui Lodge is a newly established accomodation property at saratamata, east Ambae - cater to suit any taste of travelers with six (6) appointed rooms, hot/cold running water, self contained kitchen and a large living room .
The property also has an in-house restaurant serving appealing menus to compliment your stay.
For a little adventure, your local host can also organise trekking tours up to Lake Vui and Lake Manaro, camping options are available for interested guests. Other tours can be arrange to cultural sites and historical sites in the area.
All tour packages comes with a friendly local guide and land transport.
